The seven-acre park has two entrances and is surrounded by a thick forest. It serves as the city’s major park and the elementary school’s playground. Takoma Park is a small closely-knit community dedicated to the preservation of its trees. The Takoma Trees at Grant form the main entrance to the park. If you look carefully you will also find the birds of Takoma Park. The Takoma Tree at Darwin marks the gateway to the back entrance of the park.
